The crew at Skate Park of Tampa aren’t the only Floridian’s putting the sunshine state on the map for skateboarding. Eight hours to the north west of Tampa Bay on Florida’s panhandle you’ll find Fort Walton Beach and Lee Feldmeir ‘s Plus Skate Shop. Nestled just off the beach, Plus offers Gulf Coast skaters a wide selection of brands as well as gives them a place to shred that’s out of the blistering southern sun. The shop has a bowled mini-ramp and ledges for skaters to skate. Like most shops, it’s a hang out as well as a store.

The skate scene in Fort Walton Beach is different than most skate scenes.  F.W.B. is not a large city, in fact, it is more like a larger town.We don't really have many street spots, but the kids here do not let that stand in their way.  There are a ton of kids here that rip, but,
they have to travel to neighboring cities like Tallahassee or Pensacola just to skate decent street spots.  They are very driven to skate, even if it means they have to get in the car and drive a couple hours in either direction just for the day.
We also have a shipping warehouse with a mini ramp and a little street area that we let some of the locals shred. Mainly team riders and a homie or two at a time.  Since we are not a "skatepark" we can only have sessions of a few people at a time.

Plus Skateshop has been a part of the Fort Walton scene since 1987 and has always been the core shop that locals support.  If it wasn’t for our local scene, our doors would have shut many years ago.  Since 1987 we have see almost 3 different generations of skateboarders
support Plus Skateshop because of the values we hold on skateboarding.  We don't sell anything but skateboards and skateboard related product.
No surf, skim, wake, bike, or anything else.  We’re a true skateshop with a true local following.

Our local park has contests and events quite frequently and we are always down as a sponsor for these events.  We try and give away
a bunch of stuff for every event to make sure kids know we like to give back.  We are also lucky enough to be on
tour stops and host many demo and/or autograph sessions that the locals come out in droves for.  Most of the time we have more kids show
up for demos/autographs signings than other bigger cities do.  The teams are always pleasantly surprised about that.
