Don’t let the name fool you. They don’t sell Asprin or Pepto Bismol here. Although the shop space was at one time home to a drug store, Cal’s Pharmacy today is one of the North West’s most respected skateboarding shops. Manager Kyle Reynolds, who’s worked there since the store was actually a pharmacy, now keeps the best brands in skateboarding in stock. In 2002, the dudes behind the Pharmacy started a new venture—The Department Of Skateboarding. The Department is the perfect indoor skate park/rain escape for the skaters of Portland. If you ever find yourself in town be sure to stop by for a browse or a skate. The friendly staff here will be more than happy to accommodate both.
